Biography

Roman A. Zakoldaev (Ph.D.) is a consultant of the Academic Writing Lab (AWL) at ITMO University and a representative of the scientific-technical community. He assists bachelors with their projects, masters and postgrads with their theses in English. He is experienced in writing and preparing articles, reviews, and supporting documents for scientific publishers. Roman explores styles of various scientific publishers and develops materials for training academic writing skills for students and ITMO researchers. He runs interactive lectures (“My first paper”, “From the idea to publication”, “Reviewers cases”), which are aimed at helping students to make their first steps in paper writing and getting published. He provides consultations in Russian on paper content and structure, cover letters for papers, interaction with the editor and referees, paper submission process.
